Deze onderhandelingen worden thans onder de benaming "DDA-ronde" (DDA= Doha-Ontwikkelingsagenda) gevoerd. Deze conclusies roepen de Unie op erop toe te zien "dat de Gemeenschap en haar lidstaten in staat blijven hun vermogen tot vaststelling en uitvoering van een eigen cultureel en audiovisueel beleid te vrijwaren en te ontwikkelen, en zodoende hun culturele diversiteit te beschermen".
These conclusions, call upon the Union "to ensure that the Community and its Member States maintain the possibility to preserve and develop their capacity to define and implement their cultural and audio-visual policies for the purpose of preserving their cultural diversity".

Het standpunt van de Gemeenschap bij de DDA-onderhandelingen is volledig in overeenstemming met deze conclusies.

De lopende onderhandelingen over de ontwikkelingsagenda van Doha (DDA) zal de EU in staat stellen een belangrijke bijdrage aan dit debat te leveren.
The negotiations currently underway in the framework of the Doha Development Agenda (DDA) will allow the EU to make important contributions to this debate.

I. overwegende dat de tiende Ministeriële Conferentie van de WTO van 15 t/m 18 december 2015 in Kenia zal plaatsvinden en dat dit de eerste ministeriële conferentie van de WTO zal zijn die plaatsvindt in een Afrikaans land; overwegende dat de EU zich nog steeds krachtig achter de DDA schaart en dat het sluiten van een politieke deal over de voortgang van de DDA van belang zal zijn om ervoor te zorgen dat de onderhandelingsfunctie van de WTO van essentieel belang blijft voor verdere liberalisering van de handel op mondiale schaal;
I. whereas the Tenth Ministerial WTO Conference (MC10) that will take place in Kenya from 15 to 18 December 2015 will be the first time a WTO Ministerial Conference is held in an African country; whereas the EU remains firmly committed to the DDA and acknowledges that reaching a political deal on advancing the DDA will be of importance for ensuring that the WTO’s negotiating function remains central to the further liberalisation of trade on a global scale;

– gezien zijn eerdere resoluties over de Doha-ontwikkelingsagenda (DDA), met name die van 9 oktober 2008, 16 december 2009, 14 september 2011 en van 21 november 2013,
– having regard to its previous resolutions on the Doha Development Agenda (DDA), in particular those of 9 October 2008, 16 December 2009, 14 September 2011 and of 21 November 2013,

H. overwegende dat uit recente discussies over de voortgang van de DDA duidelijk is gebleken dat het ambitieniveau moet worden herzien met het oog op haalbare resultaten voor alle onderhandelingspijlers en dat hierbij ten volle rekening moet worden gehouden met de realiteit van het huidige handelsklimaat;
H. whereas recent discussions on how to advance on the DDA have clearly shown that a review of the level of ambition is needed in order to realistically achieve outcomes across all pillars of negotiations, and that this review needs to take full account of the reality of today’s trading environment;

4. erkent de vooruitgang die is geboekt met betrekking tot de DDA sinds de ministerconferentie in Hong Kong; neemt kennis van het engagement dat werd getoond tijdens de zevende ministersconferentie in Genève, die niet ging over de DDA-onderhandelingen;
4. Acknowledges the progress that has been achieved in the DDA since the Ministerial Conference in Hong Kong; notes the commitment shown at the Seventh Ministerial Conference in Geneva, which was not on DDA negotiations;

2. is bezorgd dat het onvermogen om tot overeenstemming te komen over de Ontwikkelingsagenda van Doha (DDA) zou kunnen leiden tot een ineenstorting van het huidige multilaterale handelssysteem; onderstreept dat een verschuiving naar bilaterale of regionale overeenkomsten zou leiden tot ongelijke en minder transparante onderhandelingen, waarbij de armere landen in een nadelige positie worden geplaatst;
2. Is concerned that a failure to reach agreement on the Doha Development Agenda (DDA) could lead to the collapse of the present multilateral trading system; stresses that a shift to bilateral/regional agreements would lead to unequal and less transparent negotiations, often putting the poorer countries at a disadvantage;
