Considers that the Commission should improve its oversight of the different treasury management activities performed and, as recommended by the Court of Auditors, meetings should take place more regularly between the two DGs concerned (DG Budget (DG BUDG) and the DG for Economic and Financial Affairs (DG ECFIN)) with a view to sharing information on risks and exchanging experiences and best practices regarding treasury and asset management activities on a Commission-wide level;

Bovendien ben ik als lid/rapporteur verantwoordelijk geweest voor een advies van de Kamer inzake het voorstel voor een verordening van de Raad tot wijziging van Verordening (EG) nr. 2728/94 tot instelling van een Garantiefonds, dat beheerd wordt door DG Economische en financiële zaken.
In addition, I was responsible, as Member Rapporteur, for a Court Opinion on the proposal for a Council regulation amending Regulation (EC) No 2728/94 establishing a Guarantee Fund for external actions, which is managed by DG Economic and Financial Affairs.

15. Underlines that, in order for the crucial economic governance reforms to be implemented in an effective way, the human resources situation at the Commission's Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs (DG ECFIN) must be gradually upgraded so that it matches all the extended and new responsibilities; welcomes, in this regard, the reinforcement of this DG proposed by the Commission; stresses that additional resources will probably need to be allocated following the adoption of the "two pack" legislative package (COD(2011)0385 and 0386);
