De beschikbare Europese gegevens en kennis inzake verkeersveiligheid zijn door het Europees Observatorium voor de Verkeersveiligheid (ERSO) samengevoegd en publiek beschikbaar gesteld op het internet.
The available European road safety data and knowledge have been integrated and made publicly available on the Internet through the European Road Safety Observatory (ERSO).

De Commissie zal daarom de verdere ontwikkeling van het ERSO nastreven, met inbegrip van acties inzake communicatie en informatieverstrekking aan de burgers betreffende verkeersveiligheidskwesties.
The Commission will therefore pursue the further development of ERSO, including actions on communication and on information of citizens on road safety issues.

De Commissie zal de verbetering nastreven van de bestaande instrumenten voor gegevensverzameling en -analyse, zoals CARE, de database van de EU voor verkeersongevallen, opgezet overeenkomstig Beschikking 93/704/EG van de Raad, en het Europees Observatorium voor de verkeersveiligheid (ERSO), dat gegevens en kennis over verkeersveiligheid op Europees niveau publiek beschikbaar stelt op het internet.
The Commission will pursue the improvement of the existing tools for data collection and analysis, such as CARE, the EU database on road accidents established in accordance with Council Decision 93/704/EC, as well as the European Road Safety Observatory (ERSO), which makes publicly available through the Internet road safety data and knowledge at European level.
