Notes the valuable experience gained in civilian and police missions over the course of the last two years, including: the assumption of control by the International Police Task Force (now EUPM) in Bosnia-Herzegovina since 2003; PROXIMA in The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) and EUJUST THEMIS in Georgia; welcomes also the forthcoming deployment of a European Union police force in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (EUPOL Kinshasa);

Tot de rechtsstaatmissie EUJUST THEMIS van de EU is door de Raad besloten op 28 juni 2004 (Gemeenschappelijk Optreden 2004/523/GBVB); de duur van de missie is, naar verwacht, 12 maanden.
The EU Rule of Law Mission EUJUST THEMIS was decided by the Council on 28 June 2004 (Joint Action 2004/523/CFSP) and the duration of the Mission is anticipated to be 12 months.

The Council approved a draft Status of Mission Agreement with Georgia on the EU Rule of Law Mission EUJUST THEMIS, outlining the rules and regulations to be followed by the parties.

9. The European Union reaffirms its readiness to continue to assist Georgia in the development of democratic institutions and the rule of law, including through its rule of law mission EUJUST-THEMIS, and stands ready to provide necessary humanitarian assistance.

Op 28 juni 2004 heeft de Raad Gemeenschappelijk Optreden 2004/523/GBVB (2), inzake de rechtsstaatmissie van de Europese Unie voor Georgië, Eujust Themis, aangenomen.
