1. The Agency shall cooperate with the Commission, other Union institutions, the European External Action Service, EASO, Europol, the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights, Eurojust, the European Union Satellite Centre, the European Maritime Safety Agency and the European Fisheries Control Agency as well as other Union bodies, offices and agencies in matters covered by this Regulation, and in particular with the objectives of better addressing migratory challenges and preventing and detecting cross-border crime such as migrant smuggling, trafficking in human beings and terrorism.

Met het oog op een krachtigere bestrijding van fraude, corruptie en elke andere onwettige activiteit waardoor de financiële belangen van de Europese Unie en de Europese Gemeenschap voor Atoomenergie (hierna tezamen, naargelang van de context, „de Unie” genoemd) worden geschaad, verricht het Europees Bureau voor fraudebestrijding, opgericht bij Besluit 1999/352/EG, EGKS, Euratom („het Bureau”) de onderzoekstaken die zijn toevertrouwd aan de Commissie bij:

In order to step up the fight against fraud, corruption and any other illegal activity affecting the financial interests of the European Union and of the European Atomic Energy Community (hereinafter referred to collectively, when the context so requires, as ‘the Union’), the European Anti-Fraud Office established by Decision 1999/352/EC, ECSC, Euratom (‘the Office’) shall exercise the powers of investigation conferred on the Commission by:

The Agency shall accede to the Inter-institutional Agreement of 25 May 1999 between the European Parliament, the Council of the European Union and the Commission of the European Communities concerning internal investigations by the European Anti-fraud Office (OLAF) and shall issue, without delay, the appropriate provisions applicable to its entire staff.
