A. whereas the purpose of Draft amending budget No 1/2012 is to incorporate in the 2012 budget the amount of EUR 650 million in commitment appropriations into Article 08 20 02 Euratom – European Joint Undertaking for ITER – Fusion for Energy (F4E),

- stelt vast dat het project thans loopt; spreekt zijn waardering uit voor de ingrijpende veranderingen in sturing, toezicht en boekhoudkundige opzet die de afgelopen 12 maanden zijn aangebracht in ITER en F4E; gaat ervan uit dat de leiding van ITER en F4E te zijner tijd de toezeggingen zal nakomen die zij aan het Parlement heeft gedaan; gaat ervan uit dat alle processen voortdurend worden herzien om een stabiel besluitvormingsklimaat van een rendabele leiding tot stand te brengen;
- Observes that the project is now under way; welcomes the significant changes of the governance, control and audit structures of ITER and F4E over the last 12 months; expects the commitments of the ITER and F4E management vis-à-vis the Parliament to be implemented in due time; expects continued review of all processes with a view to creating a stable decision making environment of a cost effective management;
