TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

- De Europese Unie dient, gebruikmakend van haar samenwerking met de ESA, een strategie uit te stippelen voor internationale samenwerking op ruimtevaartgebied in het komende decennium, met speciale nadruk op ondersteuning van het GBVB van de EU en strategieën voor duurzame ontwikkeling; vóór eind 2004 dient een internationale conferentie over de ruimtevaart te worden georganiseerd.
- The European Commission should develop, benefiting from its collaboration with ESA, a Strategy for international space co-operation for the next decade with particular emphasis on supporting the EU's CFSP and sustainable development strategies; an international conference on space should be organised before the end of 2004.

For the purpose of carrying out the technical assessment of public oversight systems of third countries and to the international cooperation between Member States and third countries in this area, the CEAOB should establish a sub-group chaired by the member appointed by the European Supervisory Authority (European Securities and Markets Authority — ESMA) and should request the assistance from ESMA, the European Supervisory Authority (European Banking Authority — EBA) or the European Supervisory Authority (European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority — EIOPA) insofar as its request is related to the international cooperation between Member States and third countries in the field of statutory audit of public-interest entities supervised by these European Supervisory Authorities.

Welcomes the work of the UN Contact Group on Piracy off the Coast of Somalia, which constitutes an unprecedented forum for enhancing the level and quality of the international cooperation in this field, among States and with all major International Organisations concerned; and encourages the EU to take up a coordinating role in this forum, especially in the field of (regional) maritime capacity building;

Het Comité is ervan overtuigd dat zowel de adviesgroepen als het forum voor het maatschappelijk middenveld doeltreffende en representatieve instrumenten zijn die de Europese instellingen kunnen helpen met de intensivering van de internationale samenwerking op het gebied van duurzame ontwikkeling, milieubescherming en klimaatverandering.
The Committee is convinced that both the DAG’s and the CSF are effective and representative tools that can assist European institutions in their actions to strengthen the international cooperation on sustainable development, environmental protection and climate change.

The Committee underlines the importance of the consultative mechanisms established by the EU-Korea FTA (DAG and CSF), as effective and representative tools that can support the European institutions in their actions related to the implementation of the sustainable development goals and the Paris Agreement, and to strengthen the international cooperation on sustainable development, environmental protection and climate change.

De recente vooruitgang die is geboekt met het Europees strategisch kader voor internationale samenwerking op wetenschappelijk en technologiegebied en het Strategisch Forum voor internationale samenwerking van de EU zal daarom in een sneller tempo moeten worden doorgezet.

The recent progress made with the European framework for international ST cooperation and the Strategic Forum for International Cooperation must therefore be accelerated.

26. Reaffirms that it sees its contribution to the elaboration of a legally binding instrument on cultural diversity as a political priority and as necessary in order to consolidate cultural rights, commit the parties involved to international cooperation, create a forum for debate on cultural policies and establish global monitoring of the state of cultural diversity world-wide, as proposed by the European Parliament in its resolution on cultural cooperation in the European Union;

7. onderstreept het belang van doeltreffende internationale samenwerking tussen mededingingsautoriteiten, gezien het globale karakter van de nieuwe economie, en vindt het voorstel om een internationaal forum inzake mededinging in het leven te roepen interessant, maar wijst erop dat eerst in eigen huis voor doeltreffende samenwerking moet worden gezorgd, en verzoekt dan ook de Commissie met aandrang erop toe te zien dat in het kader van de modernisering van de mededingingsregels de samenwerking tussen de Europese mededingingsautoriteiten correct en doeltreffend functioneert;
7. Emphasises the importance of effective international cooperation between competition authorities owing to the inherently global nature of the new economy, and welcomes the proposed creation of an international competition forum, but points out that effective cooperation begins at home, and thus urges the Commission, in the context of the modernisation of competition rules, to ensure that cooperation between European competition authorities functions correctly and efficiently;

13. verzoekt de Commissie bij de beoordeling en herziening van het kaderprogramma Cultuur 2000 een tweede Forum voor de cultuur bijeen te roepen (na het eerste Culturele Forum van de Europese Unie van januari 1998), dat de waarden, doelen en vormen voor de Europese culturele samenwerking op grond van de onderhavige resolutie herziet;
13. Calls on the Commission, with a view to the assessment and review of the Culture 2000 framework programme, to convene a second Cultural Forum (in the wake of the first EU Cultural Forum held in January 1998) which, on the basis of this resolution, would redefine the values, objectives and forms of cultural cooperation in Europe;
