As Rapporteur of the Committee on International Trade (INTA) for the 2016 Budget, I would like to inform you about INTA's priorities for the 2016 Budget, as agreed by the Coordinators of the INTA Committee on 15 June 2015.

Ondertussen is het werk over dit verslag gestart met een besluit van de INTA-coördinatoren in december 2012 en een eerste en tweede gedachtewisseling in de INTA-commissie op 21 februari en 21 maart 2013 zodat het Parlement tijdig kan bijdragen tot de opstelling van het tweede jaarverslag van de lidstaten.
In the meantime, work on this report started with a decision of INTA Coordinators in December 2012 and a first and second exchange of views in the INTA Committee on 21 February and 21 March, 2013, respectively in order for Parliament to timely contribute to the redaction of the second annual report of Member States.

As the Committee responsible for “Union’s .external economic relations”, including “financial, economic and trade relations with third countries” (i.e. with both developing and non-developing countries), the Committee on International Trade (INTA) was the lead Committee also at the time of adoption of original ICI Regulation enabling INTA not only to analyze this Commission proposal in detail, but also to look at a broader historical and institutional context.

Rekening houdend met de met de International Association for the promotion of cooperation with scientists from the New Independent States of the Former Soviet Union (INTAS) opgedane ervaringen in de samenwerking met de landen van Oost-Europa en Centraal-Azië wordt INTAS voortgezet.
Taking into account the experience gained with the International Association for the promotion of cooperation with scientists from the New Independent States of the Former Soviet Union (INTAS) in cooperating with the Eastern European and Central Asian countries, INTAS will be continued.
