1. vraagt de Commissie de georganiseerde civiele maatschappij en alle betrokken partijen, zoals ngo's, organisaties uit de sociale economie, dienstverleners, deskundigen op het gebied van sociale innovatie en de sociale partners, alsmede de in armoede levende mensen zelf, in samenwerking met de organisaties waarbinnen zij zich vrij uiten en die kennis en ervaring hebben opgebouwd, nauwer te betrekken bij de uitwerking van een Europese strategie op alle bestuursniveaus (Europees, nationaal, regionaal en lokaal), met name door het opzetten van nationale platforms tegen armoede en sociale uitsluiting in elke lidstaat; vraagt de Commissie de samenwerking tussen lokale, regionale en nationale overheden en de Europese instellingen, en met name het Europees Parlement, te versterken; is van mening dat synergieën op alle actoren betrekking moeten hebben, inclusief kmo's en bedrijfsleiders; vraagt meer bijeenkomsten op nationaal niveau van mensen die in armoede en sociale uitsluiting leven en de formalisering van hun deelname en bijdrage aan de jaarlijkse conventie inzake armoede en sociale uitsluiting, als centraal onderdeel van deze conventie, en pleit voor een gepaste en regelmatige follow-up van de aldus tot stand gebrachte aanbevelingen;

Calls on the Commission to boost the involvement of organised civil society, of all stakeholders (such as NGOs, social economy organisations, service providers, experts in social innovation and the social partners) and of people living in poverty themselves – in partnership with the associations within which they freely express their opinions, and which have acquired experience and knowledge, particularly through the development of national platforms against poverty and social exclusion in each Member State – in the development of a European strategy at all levels of governance (European, national, regional and local); calls on the Commission to enhance cooperation between local, regional and national authorities and the EU institutions, including Parliament; believes that synergies should involve all stakeholders, including SMEs and businesspeople; calls for discussions with people living in poverty and social exclusion to be extended at national level, and for their participation and their contribution to the annual convention on poverty and social exclusion to be made a formal and central part of that convention, and calls for appropriate and regular follow-up of the recommendations thereby developed;

23. vraagt de Commissie de doelstellingen en de inhoud van de jaarlijkse conventie inzake armoede te specificeren, die onder meer zouden kunnen bestaan uit de uitwisseling van goede praktijken en de directe betrokkenheid van mensen die in armoede leven; stelt voor om die ontmoeting ten minste te laten plaatsvinden gedurende de hele week van de internationale dag voor de uitbanning van de armoede (17 oktober);
23. Calls on the Commission to specify the objectives and scope of the annual convention of the European Platform against Poverty, which might include exchanging best practice and directly involving people living in poverty; suggests that this meeting should last at least the whole week in which the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty (17 October) falls;

Tijdens de jaarlijkse conventie zal de balans worden opgemaakt van de geboekte vooruitgang op het gebied van de kerndoelstelling. Voorts zal de uitvoering van de in het kader van het platform aangekondigde activiteiten worden geëvalueerd en zullen er voorstellen voor de toekomst worden gedaan.
The Annual Convention will take stock of progress made towards the headline target, review the implementation of the activities announced under the Platform and provide suggestions for future action.
