Welcomes the discussion on flexicurity initiated by the Commission; recalls that the continuous reduction in the working-age population renders a change of labour market policies necessary, as the average annual growth rate in GDP for the EU-25 will fall systematically from 2,4 % for the period 2004 to 2010 to only 1,2 % for the period 2030 to 2050;
