After examining the Communication, and recalling the expression of support at the Cologne European Council, last June, for the future stability and prosperity of the MSAR, based on the continuity of its specific social, economic, legal and cultural identity, the Council looks forward to the maintenance and enhancement of friendly relations between the EU and Macao, including an effective engagement with the SAR Government within its areas of responsibility.
