– gezien de verklaringen van de Ondersteuningsmissie van de Verenigde Naties in Libië (UNSMIL), op de gezamenlijke verslagen van 4 september 2014 over de mensenrechtensituatie in Libië en de actualisering van 23 december 2014 van UNSMIL en het Mensenrechtenbureau van de Verenigde Naties over schendingen van de internationale mensenrechtenwetgeving en het internationaal humanitair recht,
– having regard to the statements by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), to the joint reports of 4 September 2014 on the human rights situation in Libya and to the update of 23 December 2014 by UNSMIL and the United Nations Human Rights Office on violations of international human rights and humanitarian law during the ongoing violence in Libya,

Ten slotte wil ik een zeer specifiek verzoek richten aan het Mensenrechtenbureau van de Verenigde Naties: er moet een onderzoek worden gestart om te achterhalen of de uitzetting van ngo’s aan de lange lijst van oorlogsmisdaden kan worden toegevoegd, waarvoor de Sudanese autoriteiten uiteraard verantwoording zullen moeten afleggen.
Lastly, I want to make a very specific request to the United Nations Human Rights Office: it should start investigations to find out whether this expulsion of NGOs can be added to the long list of war crimes for which the Sudanese authorities must, of course, be held answerable.

De EU bevestigt haar steun aan de internationale inspanningen met het oog op een vreedzame regeling van de conflicten in Abchazië en Zuid-Ossetië, in het bijzonder de inspanningen van de Verenigde Naties en de speciale vertegenwoordiger van de VN in Georgië, gesteund door de Groep vrienden van de secretaris-generaal van de Verenigde Naties en de OVSE.
The EU reconfirms its support to international efforts aimed at a peaceful settlement of the Abkhazian and South Ossetian conflicts, in particular those of the United Nations and its Special Representative in Georgia, with the assistance of the United Nations Secretary General's Group of Friends and the OSCE.

32. verklaart nogmaals onvoorwaardelijk achter de territoriale integriteit en de onaantastbaarheid van de internationaal erkende grenzen van Georgië te staan en betuigt zijn steun aan de voortdurende inspanningen die de Georgische autoriteiten zich getroosten om voor de binnenlandse conflicten in Abchazië en Zuid-Ossetië tot een regeling te komen; uit evenwel zijn spijt over de agressieve retoriek die met betrekking tot de geschillen nog steeds door partijen wordt gebruikt en steunt de oproep van de secretaris-generaal van de Verenigde Naties Ban Ki-moon tot een verdubbelde inspanning om te voorkomen dat er acties worden ondernomen die tot hervatting van de vijandelijkheden in Abchazië zouden kunnen leiden; spoort de partijen aan om ten volle gebruik te maken van dialoog en onderhandelingen om tot een definitieve oplossing van het conflict in Zuid-Ossetië te komen; verzoekt de autoriteiten die de facto het bewind voeren om voorwaarden te scheppen voor een veilige terugkeer van in eigen land ontheemden (IDP's) en de onvervreemdbaarheid van de eigendomrechten in de conflictgebieden te respecteren, in overeenstemming met de bovengen oemde resolutie 1781(2007) van de VN-Veiligheidsraad; benadrukt dat het voor een duurzame regeling van fundamenteel belang is dat er voor de fundamentele mensenrechtenkwesties, zoals de terugkeer van IDP's en de teruggave van hun bezittingen, en een adequaat onderzoek door alle partijen naar oorlogsmisdaden en het lot van vermiste personen, een oplossing wordt gevonden; roept alle partijen op naar de onderhandelingstafel terug te keren; is verheugd over de eerste ontmoeting op hoog niveau tussen vertegenwoordigers uit Georgië en Abchazië, die onlangs na een lange onderbreking heeft plaatsgevonden;
32. Reiterates its unconditional support for the territorial integrity and inviolability of the internationally recognised borders of Georgia, and supports the continuous efforts made by the Georgian authorities to achieve a settlement of its internal conflicts in Abkhazia and South Ossetia; regrets, however, the continuing aggressive rhetoric employed by the parties in respect of the disputes and supports the appeal by the United Nations Secretary-General, Mr Ban Ki-moon, for a redoubling of efforts to avoid action that could lead to a renewal of hostilities in Abkhazia; encourages the parties to make full use of dialogue and negotiation formats in order to achieve a final settlement of the conflict in South Ossetia; calls upon the de facto authorities to provide secure conditions for the return of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and to respect the inalienability of property rights in the conflict zones in accordance with the above-mentioned UN Security Council 1781 (2007); underscores that finding satisfactory solutions to the fundamental human rights issues, such as the return of IDPs and their property and the proper investigation by all sides of war crimes and cases of missing persons, will play a key role in the achievement of any lasting settlement; calls on all parties to return to the negotiating table; welcomes the first high-level meeting between the Georgian and Abkhaz officials, which took place recently after a long pause;
