En we mogen niet alleen aan de Noord-Zuid-projecten denken, maar Europa moeten aaneengroeien. Daarom moeten ook Oost-West-spoorprojecten worden gemoderniseerd, want veel van die lijnen bevinden zich nog op een technisch niveau uit de vorige eeuw, uit het tijdperk van de stoomlocomotief.
