Notes that the shipbuilding workforce in Europe, in accordance with the Community of European Shipyards' Associations (CESA) annual report for 2010-2011 , has declined by 23 % over the past three years, from 148 792 workers in 2007 to 114 491 workers in 2010; and that EGF assistance has already been mobilised in three cases in the shipbuilding sector over the past three years (EGF/2010/001 DK/Nordjylland , EGF/2010/006 PL/H. Naast de door de Spaanse autoriteiten aangevoerde argumenten blijven ook de constateringen in eerdere zaken in verband met de scheepsbouw en aanverwante industrieën (EGF/2010/001 DK/Noord-Jutland, EGF/2010/006 PL/H. Cegielski-Poznan, EGF/2010/025 DK/Odense Steel Shipyard en EGF/2011/008 DK/Odense Steel Shipyard) van kracht.
In addition to the arguments presented by the Spanish authorities, those developed in previous cases related to shipbuilding and related industries (EGF/2010/001 DK/Nordjylland, EGF/2010/006 PL/H. Cegielski-Poznan, EGF/2010/025 DK/Odense Steel Shipyard and EGF/2011/008 DK/Odense Steel Shipyard ) remain valid.

Op voorstel van mevrouw Monika WULF-MATHIES, Europees commissaris voor het regionale beleid, heeft de Commissie haar goedkeuring gehecht aan een ontwikkelingsprogramma voor de stad Aalborg in Noord-Jutland dat in totaal 3, 042 miljoen ecu (23 miljoen DKR) zal kosten. Het gaat om een programma in het kader van het communautaire initiatief URBAN.
On a proposal by the European Commissioner Mrs. WULF-MATHIES the Commission approved a development programme worth 3.042 million ECU (23 million Dkr.) for the City of Aalborg in North Jutland. The programme is part of the Community Initiative URBAN.
