Sinds 1994 voert het regionale energieagentschap van Oberösterreich ("O.Ö. Energiesparverband") een energieactieplan uit dat bedoeld is om de energie-efficiëntie te bevorderen.
Since 1994, the regional energy agency "O.Ö. Energiesparverband" of Upper Austria has been implementing an Energy Action Plan designed to promote energy efficiency.

(2) Following detection of this harmful organism for the first time in the European Union on trees of Acer platanoides in Braunau in the Bundesland Oberösterreich, Austria implemented a programme of action in accordance with Article 16(2) of Directive 2000/29/EC to control its introduction into and the spread within Austria and the territory of the Community.

In Oberösterreich en Salzburg werd daarentegen bijna volledige werkgelegenheid bereikt.
By contrast, Upper Austria and Salzburg reached almost full employment.

De regionale verschillen in activering zijn nog steeds groot, van slechts 15,9 % in Wenen (ondanks de toename van de activiteit in deze regio) tot 33,1 % in Oberösterreich.
The regional differences in activation are still very high and range from only 15.9% in Vienna (despite the increase in activation in this region) to 33.1% in Upper Austria.
