(59 quinquies) Overwegende dat het aangewezen is, gezien de noodzaak van bescherming van de onaantastbaarheid van de mens bij de afname en het gebruik van stoffen die van het menselijk lichaam afkomstig zijn, de beginselen toe te passen die genoemd zijn in het Verdrag van de Raad van Europa ter bescherming van de rechten van de mens en de menselijke waardigheid ten aanzien van de toepassingen in biologie en geneeskunde.

Reiterates its unconditional support for the territorial integrity and inviolability of the internationally recognised borders of Georgia, and supports the continuous efforts made by the Georgian authorities to achieve a settlement of its internal conflicts in Abkhazia and South Ossetia; welcomes the Tagliavini Report and supports its main observations and conclusions; expects that the extensive background information provided by the Report can be used for legal proceedings at the International Criminal Court and by individual citizens as regards infringements of the European Convention on Human Rights; supports the EU Monitoring Mission (EUMM) mandate; calls for its further extension and its full implementation; notes that Russia and the de facto authorities of the occupied territories, which are under Russian effective control, are blocking parts of its implementation;
