Waar passend, worden vertegenwoordigers van Eurojust, Europol, het Europees Agentschap voor het beheer van de operationele samenwerking aan de buitengrenzen van de lidstaten van de Europese Unie (Frontex) en andere betrokken organen als waarnemers uitgenodigd voor de bijeenkomsten van het Permanent Comité.
1. When appropriate, representatives from Eurojust, Europol, the European Agency for the Management of Operational Cooperation at the External Borders of the EU Member States (Frontex) and other relevant bodies shall be invited to attend, as observers, the meetings of the Standing Committee.

Conform artikel 71 van het Verdrag betreffende de werking van de Europese Unie dient binnen de Raad een permanent comité te worden opgericht om ervoor te zorgen dat binnen de Unie de operationele samenwerking op het gebied van de binnenlandse veiligheid wordt bevorderd en versterkt.
Article 71 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union provides that a standing committee shall be set up within the Council in order to ensure that operational cooperation on internal security is promoted and strengthened within the Union.

Derhalve moet het Permanent Comité der artsen van de Europese Economische Gemeenschap in het kader van deze procedure worden erkend als de representatieve Europese artsenorganisatie.
Therefore the accreditation of the representative European Body of the medical profession as part of the procedure has to be provided. This body is the Standing Committee of European doctors.
