TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

Speciaal voor dit doel gekweekte energiegewassen (populier, wilg enz.) en verschillende houtachtige materialen afkomstig van industriële processen (met name de hout- en papierindustrie) of rechtstreeks afkomstig van de bos- en landbouw (brandhout, houtsnippers, houtkorrels, schors, zaagsel, schaafsel, spaanders, „black liquor” enz.), alsook afval zoals stro, rijstdoppen, notendoppen, stromest van pluimvee, uitgeperste druivenschillen enz. Dit soort vast afval wordt bij voorkeur verbrand.
Purpose-grown energy crops (poplar, willow etc.), a multitude of woody materials generated by an industrial process (wood/paper industry in particular) or provided directly by forestry and agriculture (firewood, wood chips, wood pellets, bark, sawdust, shavings, chips, black liquor etc.) as well as wastes such as straw, rice husks, nut shells, poultry litter, crushed grape dregs etc. Combustion is the preferred technology for these solid wastes.

On 14 July five new framework partnership contracts were concluded between the Commission and the following humanitarian NGOs: Handicap International - Belgium Handicap International - France Action Nord/Sud - France Comitato Internazionale per lo Sviluppo dei Populi (CISP) - Italy Associazione Internazionale Volontari Laici (LVIA) - Italy 49 framework contracts have been concluded between the Commission and its partners since the first one was signed on 18 May (cf. IP(93)389 and IP(93)474).

- ECU 646 000 will be mobilized through ECHO's operational partner - the Italian NGO SOS - to help with the return of some 10 000 refugees from camps in Mogadishu and to refit the hospital in Jalalaqsi (200 km north of Mogadishu).
