IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

De Overeenkomst tussen de Europese Gemeenschap en de Federatie van Saint Kitts en Nevis inzake de vrijstelling van de visumplicht voor kort verblijf zal op 1 augustus 2015 in werking treden, aangezien de in artikel 8, lid 1, van de overeenkomst bedoelde procedure op 3 juni 2015 is voltooid.

Gezien het verstrijken van de tijdelijke visumregeling op 15 mei 2007, machtigde de Raad de Commissie op 5 juni 2008 te onderhandelen over een overeenkomst tussen de Europese Gemeenschap en Saint Kitts en Nevis inzake de vrijstelling van de visumplicht voor kort verblijf.
Having regard to the expiry of the temporary visa regime on 15 May 2007, the Council authorised the Commission, on 5 June 2008, to negotiate an agreement between the European Community and Saint Kitts and Nevis on the short-stay visa waiver.

Doel: deze overeenkomst voorziet in visumvrij reizen voor de burgers van de Europese Unie en voor de burgers van Saint Kitts en Nevis die naar het grondgebied van de andere overeenkomstsluitende partij reizen voor een periode van maximaal drie maanden binnen een tijdvak van zes maanden.
