-uitbreiding van het toepassingsgebied van de richtlijn tot het vervoer over zee van bestraalde splijtstoffen, plutonium en zeer radioactieve afvalstoffen in vaten aan boord van schepen, -aanvulling van de gegevens in de bijlagen bij de richtlijn, gelet op de internationale wetgeving ter zake, -vlottere aanpassing van de genoemde bijlagen aan de internationale wetgeving ter zake door toepassing van de comitologieprocedure, maar zonder dat het toepassingsgebied van Richtlijn 93/75/EEG verruimd wordt.
–to extend the scope of the Directive to cover the carriage of irradiated nuclear fuel, plutonium and high-level radioactive waste in flasks on board ships; –to supplement the information given in the Annexes to the Directive in the light of developments in international legislation; –to facilitate the amendment of those Annexes in the light of developments in international law by applying the committee procedure, without, however, broadening the scope of Directive 93/75/EEC.
