IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

Teneinde te voldoen aan haar verplichtingen uit hoofde van artikel 20, lid 3, onder a), van het Protocol van Cartagena inzake bioveiligheid bij het Verdrag inzake biologische diversiteit, zal de Unie de reeds aan het uitwisselingscentrum voor bioveiligheid verstrekte lijst van rechtsinstrumenten up-to-date houden.

66. STEUNT de opstelling van een register voor eenduidige identificatiecodes, dat onder de bevoegdheid van het uitwisselingscentrum voor bioveiligheid dient te vallen,
SUPPORTS the development of a register for unique identification codes to be placed under the Biosafety Clearing House;

1. De Commissie stelt de partijen bij het Protocol van Cartagena inzake bioveiligheid overeenkomstig artikel 11, lid 1, of artikel 12, lid 1, van dat protocol, al naar gelang van het geval, via het uitwisselingscentrum voor bioveiligheid in kennis van iedere verlening, verlenging, wijziging, schorsing of intrekking van een vergunning voor een GGO, levensmiddel of diervoeder bedoeld in artikel 3, lid 1, onder a) en b), en artikel 15, lid 1, onder a) en b).
1. Any authorisation, renewal, modification, suspension or revocation of authorisation of a GMO, food or feed referred to in Articles 3(1)(a) or (b) or 15(1)(a) or (b) shall be notified by the Commission to the Parties to the Cartagena Protocol through the biosafety clearing house in accordance with Article 11(1) or Article 12(1) of the Cartagena Protocol, as the case may be.

(20) Teneinde de ontwikkeling van het uitwisselingscentrum voor bioveiligheid in de hand te werken, zorgen de Gemeenschap en de lidstaten ervoor dat aan het uitwisselingscentrum voor bioveiligheid relevante informatie wordt verstrekt en dat toezicht wordt uitgeoefend op en verslag wordt uitgebracht over de tenuitvoerlegging van het protocol in de Gemeenschap.
(20) In order to help develop the BCH, the Community and its Member States should ensure that relevant information is communicated to the BCH, and that monitoring and reporting on the implementation of the Protocol in the Community are performed.

De Europese Commissie of het EU-land dat de beslissing heeft genomen, moet het Uitwisselingscentrum voor bioveiligheid (Biosafety Clearing House — BHC) op de hoogte brengen van iedere beslissing met betrekking tot het gebruik van ggo’s die bedoeld zijn om als levensmiddel of voor be- of verwerking te worden gebruikt, die eventueel de internationale grenzen overgaan.
The European Commission or the EU country that took the decision must notify the Biosafety Clearing House (BCH) of any decision regarding the use of GMOs intended for food or processing that may be transferred across international borders.

2. De in lid 1 bedoelde informatie voor het uitwisselingscentrum voor bioveiligheid bevat minimaal de in bijlage II vermelde informatie.
