De Raad stelt, op voorstel van de Commissie, met gekwalificeerde meerderheid van stemmen de maatregelen vast welke nodig zijn voor een uniforme toepassing van de communautaire bepalingen in de sector gedistilleerde dranken, met name inzake het toezicht en inzake de betrekkingen tussen de bevoegde instanties van de Lid-Staten.
3. The Council, acting by a qualified majority on a proposal from the Commission, shall adopt the necessary measures for the uniform application of Community provisions in the spirit drinks sector, particularly with regard to controls and relations between the competent bodies of the Member States.
