TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

8. verzoekt de Commissie om bij de bevoegde RVO's, met name de WCPFC en de SPRFMO, alsook het SPC en de Visserijorganisatie van het South Pacific Forum (FFA), aan te dringen op duurzame visserij door de strijd tegen IOO-visserij op te voeren, en wetenschappelijke comités te ondersteunen opdat zij over de nodige informatie beschikken over de beschikbare visbestanden;
8. Calls on the Commission to use its influence with the RFMOs concerned, in particular the WCPFC and SPRFMO, together with the SPC and the Forum Fisheries Agency (FFA), in order to promote sustainable fisheries by intensifying action to eliminate IUU fishing, and to support the scientific committees with a view to providing them with relevant information about available fish stock levels;

7. roept tevens op tot meer coördinatie en complementariteit met de andere spelers in de regio op het gebied van ontwikkelingshulp, overeenkomstig het akkoord van Cairns van augustus 2009; is verheugd dat op 12 juni 2012 de tweede ministersvergadering EU-South Pacific Forum is gehouden, die de politieke dialoog tussen de EU en het Stille Oceaangebied versterkt, vooral op het gebied van visserij en ontwikkeling, en daarmee zorgt voor een grotere doeltreffendheid van de acties die de Unie en de landen van de regio op die gebieden ondernemen;
7. Calls, also, for greater coordination and complementarity with other actors in the region in relation to development assistance, in keeping with the Cairns Compact of August 2009; welcomes the holding on 12 June 2012 of the second EU-PIF ministerial meeting, which has strengthened the EU-Pacific political dialogue, in particular in the fields of fisheries and development, thereby ensuring that actions taken in these areas by the EU and countries in the region will be more effective;

k) voor het SPRFMO-verdragsgebied (South Pacific Regional Fisheries Management Organisation, Regionale visserijorganisatie voor het zuidelijke deel van de Stille Oceaan): de geografische zone op volle zee bezuiden 10o NB, ten noorden van het CCAMLR-verdragsgebied, ten oosten van het SIOFA-verdragsgebied zoals vastgesteld in de Visserijovereenkomst voor de Zuid-Indische Oceaan (23), en ten westen van de gebieden die onder de visserijjurisdictie van de Zuid-Amerikaanse staten vallen;
‘SPRFMO (South Pacific Regional Fisheries Management Organisation) Convention Area’ is the high seas geographical area south of 10° N, north of the CCAMLR Convention Area, east of the SIOFA Convention Area as defined in the Southern Indian Ocean Fisheries Agreement (23), and west of the areas of fisheries jurisdictions of South American States;
