The Council decided to set the TACs for stocks threatened by collapse at a higher level than originally proposed by the Commission, while not exceeding the precautionary level of fishing mortality, agreeing on a reduction of 55% for cod in the Kattegat, and 20% for haddock in the Irish Sea, reducing the TAC for Norway lobster in the Bay of Biscay by 20% and by 33% in the waters of Northern Spain and Portugal, and reducing the TAC for sole in the Bay of Biscay by 42%.
