TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

Voor bentoniet is overeenkomstig Richtlijn 70/524/EEG bij Richtlijn 82/822/EEG van de Commissie (3) een vergunning zonder tijdsbeperking verleend als toevoegingsmiddel voor diervoeding in de groep „bindmiddelen, verdunningsmiddelen en stollingsmiddelen” voor gebruik voor alle diersoorten.
Bentonite was authorised without a time limit in accordance with Directive 70/524/EEC as a feed additive belonging to the group of binders, anticaking agents and coagulants, for use in all animal species, by Commission Directive 82/822/EEC (3).

In accordance with Article 10(2) of Regulation (EC) No 1831/2003 in conjunction with Article 7 of that Regulation, an application was submitted for the re-evaluation of bentonite as a feed additive for all animal species as binders and anticaking agents and, in accordance with Article 7 of that Regulation, for a new authorisation as substance for control of radionuclide contamination, for all animal species.

De Europese Autoriteit voor voedselveiligheid (EFSA) heeft in haar adviezen van 2 februari 2011 (4), 14 juni 2011 (5) en 14 juni 2012 (6) geconcludeerd dat bentoniet onder de voorgestelde gebruiksvoorwaarden geen ongunstige gevolgen voor de diergezondheid, de menselijke gezondheid of het milieu heeft en dat het doeltreffend kan zijn als bindmiddel en antiklontermiddel en als stof ter bestrijding van radionuclidecontaminatie voor alle diersoorten.
The European Food Safety Authority (‘the Authority’) concluded in its opinions of 2 February 2011 (4), 14 June 2011 (5) and 14 June 2012 (6) that, under the proposed conditions of use, bentonite does not have an adverse effect on animal health, human health or the environment, and that it has the potential to be efficacious as binder and anticaking agent and as substance for control of radionuclide contamination for all animal species.

Daarnaast is overeenkomstig artikel 7 van Verordening (EG) nr. 1831/2003 een aanvraag ingediend voor een nieuwe vergunning van bentoniet als stof ter vermindering van de verontreiniging van diervoeding met mycotoxinen voor alle diersoorten.
In addition, in accordance with Article 7 of Regulation (EC) No 1831/2003, an application was submitted for a new authorisation of bentonite as substance for reduction of the contamination of feed by mycotoxins for all animal species.

Bentoniet is dan ook niet opgenomen in deel 1 van bijlage III bij Verordening (EG) nr. 1333/2008 en moet ook worden geschrapt van de lijst van alle additieven in deel B van bijlage II bij Verordening (EG) nr. 1333/2008.
Therefore, it is not included in Part 1 of Annex III to Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008 and should also be deleted from the list of all additives in Part B of Annex II to Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008.

De aluminium bevattende draagstof bentoniet (E 558) wordt volgens de door de levensmiddelenproducenten verstrekte informatie niet meer gebruikt.
