It held meetings with the main industry associations in the port sector, inter alia: port authorities (ESPO), private terminal operators (FEPORT), inland ports (EFIP), ship-owners (ECSA), pilots (EMPA), tug owners and operators (ETA), mooring operators (EBA), ship's agents (ECASBA), shippers (ESC), dredgers (EuDA) and logistic operators (CLECAT).

De Commissie werkt actief samen met beroepsorganisaties als CLECAT en CONFIAD, luistert naar hun vragen en probeert daarvoor een bevredigende oplossing te vinden.
The Commission is actively working with the professional associations, like CLECAT and CONFIAD, listening to their concerns and trying to find a satisfactory solution.

Deze maatregelen komen tot stand na nauw overleg met de vertegenwoordigers van de betrokken ondernemingen (CLECAT*) en getuigen van de solidariteit van de Gemeenschap met een sector die op economisch en sociaal vlak ernstig getroffen is maar die wil reageren en de basis leggen voor zijn toekomst.
These measures have been adopted after repeated consultations with representatives of the categories concerned (CLECAT - the European Liaison Committee of Common Market Forwarders) and bear witness to Community solidarity with a sector hard hit, at a social and economic level, by the completion of the single market, but is determined to react and build its future.
