– (IT) Mijnheer de Voorzitter, geachte collega’s, er pakken zich donkere wolken samen boven de textiel- en kledingindustrie, sinds Europa en de nationale staten onder de dictatuur van de Wereldhandelsorganisatie en onder het juk van de vrije handel zuchten, sinds de financiële wereld de scepter zwaait over politiek en economie; dus sinds de landen instemmen met de globalisatie, die zo dikwijls is toegejuicht, ook in dit Parlement.
– (IT) Mr President, ladies and gentlemen, dark clouds have hung over the future of the textile and clothing sector ever since Europe and the nation States have been subjected to the dictatorship of the World Trade Organisation, have been enslaved by the free market and the rule of finance over the economy and politics, and have therefore assented to globalisation, which has also often been glorified in this House.
