Is concerned that a shift in sustainable technology innovation away from Europe to other parts of the world is already occurring, which may turn Europe into a net importer of these technologies and related finished products; states that, according to recent surveys, out of the 50 companies identified as clean technology leaders, 24 were based in Asia, 22 in the United States, three in Europe, and one in Canada; stresses that, according to the Ernst Young 2010 barometer, China and the US are the most attractive regions of the world for the development of renewable energy sources; ·
