In het kader van de communautaire actie Eurotech Capital wordt op 19 maart 1993 te Zaventem door Euroventures Benelux, een lid van het netwerk Eurotech Capital, de zesde bijeenkomst van Eurotech Capital georganiseerd.

De voormiddag wordt besteed aan een uiteenzetting van de onderzoek- en ontwikkelingsprogramma's op het gebied van biotechnologie zoals BEP, BAP, BRIDGE en BIOTECH, het VALUE-programma voor de verspreiding en de toepassing van onderzoeksresultaten en tenslotte de actie Eurotech Capital waarbij wordt gezocht naar financiële middelen voor high-techondernemingen.
During the morning session, research and development programmes in the biotechnology sector such as BEP, BAP, BRIDGE and BIOTECH will be presented, followed by the VALUE programme for exploitation of research findings, and finally the Eurotech Capital action for investigating funding for high-technology firms.

Op deze informatievergadering komen Europese ondernemingen uit de sector biotechnologie en risicokapitaal verschaffende maatschappijen die tot het Eurotech Capital-netwerk behoren bijeen.
This information meeting will bring together European firms from the biotechnology sector and venture capital operators belonging to the Eurotech Capital network.

Daartoe heeft zij de procedures voor het indienen en het beheer van projecten vereenvoudigd, zodat rekening kan worden gehouden met de specifieke problemen waar het MKB zich voor geplaatst ziet (1) - Uitvoerbaarheidspremies - BRITE-EURAM : financiële deelname in de kosten van de voorbereiding van projecten. - Euromanagement-OTO : OTO-audit voor het identificeren van kleine en middelgrote ondernemingen die kunnen deelnemen aan communautaire onderzoeksprogramma's en om deze bedrijven te helpen bij het opstellen van voorstellen. - CRAFT (Cooperative Research Action for Technology) : steun aan werkzaamheden van onderzoekscentra voor samenwerkings- verbanden van MKB's die zelf niet over de nodige onderzoekscapaciteit beschikken. - EUROTECH CAPITAL : proefproject voor steun voor de financiering van transnationale hoogtechnologische projecten via maatschappijen voor risicodragend kapitaal. - VALUE (Valorisation and Utilisation for Europe) : steun voor de verspreiding van resultaten van alle onderzoeks- programma's, met name door de oprichting van gegevensbestanden, informatiecentra en door partnerschap tussen onderzoek en industrie. - SPRINT (Strategic Programme for Innovation and Technology Transfer) : Verspreiding van nieuwe technologie, met name door de koppeling van nationale netwerken en infrastructuren.
To that end it put measures in hand to simplify the procedures for submitting and managing projects in order to take account of the difficulties SMEs have encountered in the past (1) - Brite/Euram feasibility awards: part-funding of the costs of preparing projects - Euromanagement RTD: an RTD audit aimed at identifying the SMEs liable to take part in Community research programmes and helping them to prepare proposals; - CRAFT (Cooperative Research Action for Technology): support for work carried out by research centres for consortia of SMEs who lack the necessary research facilities; - Eurotech capital: a pilot scheme to stimulate inflows of risk capital for transnational high-technology projects; - Value (Programme for the dissemination and utilization of results) Support for the dissemination of the results of all the research programmes, including the setting up of databases, information centres and partnerships between research and industry; - Sprint (Strategic Programme for Innovation and Technology Transfer) Dissemination of new technologies, particularly through the interlinking of networks and national infrastructures.
