IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

– having regard to the request for waiver of the immunity of Janusz Korwin-Mikke, forwarded on 13 March 2015 by the Prosecutor-General of the Republic of Poland in connection with legal proceedings brought by the Chief of Municipal Police of Piotrków Trybunalski, dated 9 March 2015 (Case No. SM.O.4151-F.2454/16769/2014), and announced in plenary on 15 April 2015,

A. overwegende dat de procureur-generaal van de Republiek Polen een verzoek heeft doorgezonden van de chef van de gemeentepolitie van Piotrków Trybunalski om toestemming voor strafvervolging tegen Janusz Korwin-Mikke, lid van het Europees Parlement, wegens het strafbare feit bedoeld in artikel 92a van de wet van 20 mei 1971 houdende vaststelling van het Wetboek kleine overtredingen juncto artikel 20 van de wegverkeerswet van 20 juni 1997; overwegende dat het concreet gaat om een snelheidsovertreding binnen de bebouwde kom;
A. whereas the Prosecutor-General of the Republic of Poland has forwarded a request from the Chief of Municipal Police of Piotrków Trybunalski for authorisation to take action against a Member of the European Parliament, Janusz Korwin-Mikke, with regard to an offence under Article 92a of the Act of 20 May 1971 establishing a Code of Petty Offences in connection with Article 20(1) of the Road Traffic Act of 20 June 1997; whereas, in particular, the alleged offence amounts to exceeding the permitted speed limit in a built-up area;

Na de conferentie over de bescherming van de rechten van het kind in november jl. zal de commissie CONST van het Comité van de Regio's deze zitting het ontwerpadvies van Jan Oravec (burgemeester van Štúrovo SK/EVP) over "Bestrijding van seksueel misbruik, seksuele uitbuiting van kinderen en kinderpornografie" en "Voorkoming en bestrijding van mensenhandel en de bescherming van slachtoffers" v oorleggen. In het advies wordt ingestemd met een integrale benadering van seksuele uitbuiting van kinderen, kinderpornografie en uitbuiting van kinderen in het kader van mensenhandel. De voorstellen in het advies beslaan alle mogelijke instrumenten, van bescherming van de slachtoffers, preventie en voorlichting tot vervolging van de daders. Zo wordt voorgesteld om de gemeentepolitie en de lokale politie "die het best de lokale situatie kennen en bijgevolg een doorslaggevende rol kunnen spelen bij het aan het licht brengen van criminele activiteiten" toegang tot databanken te geven en de nodige bevoegdheden om tegen dit soort criminele activiteiten op te treden.
