(24) „geografisch informatiesysteem” (hierna „GIS” genoemd): de in artikel 70 van Verordening (EU) nr. 1306/2013 bedoelde technieken op basis van een geautomatiseerd geografisch informatiesysteem;
‘Geographical Information System’ (hereinafter referred to as ‘GIS’) means the computerised geographical information system techniques referred to in Article 70 of Regulation (EU) No 1306/2013;

2. De in lid 1, onder b), bedoelde informatie dient vergezeld te gaan van metadata en beschikbaar te worden gesteld in de vorm van geannoteerde, aan geografische coördinaten gerelateerde digitale gegevens in een format dat door een geografisch informatiesysteem (GIS) kan worden gelezen.
2. The information referred to in paragraph 1(b) shall be accompanied by metadata and shall be made available as documented digital georeferenced data in a format that can be read by a geographic information system (GIS).

Supports the Commission in collating and perfecting the existing databases and completing the maps in order to obtain a georeferenced system; approves, likewise, the creation of a digital geographic information system which would gather the currently fragmented information at appropriate levels and which would be accessible to the public;

(14) Overwegende dat ter verbetering van de kennis over en de controle op de productie van olijfolie in het stadium van de producent de werkzaamheden met betrekking tot het olijventeeltkadaster in de verkoopseizoenen 1998/1999 tot en met 2000/2001 specifiek moeten worden geconcentreerd; dat, gezien de opgedane ervaring, de voor het opstellen van het olijventeeltkadaster gevolgde methodiek moet worden bijgesteld in de richting van de methodiek die voor andere landbouwgewassen wordt toegepast in het kader van het geïntegreerd beheers- en controlesysteem; dat de Commissie derhalve de te nemen maatregelen en de na te leven voorschriften en criteria moet vaststellen om de totstandbrenging van een geografisch informatiesysteem te bevorderen; dat derhalve moet worden afgeweken van Verordening (EEG) nr. 154/75 (10) en van Verordening (EEG) nr. 2261/84 (11);
(14) Whereas, in order to improve knowledge of and checks on the production of olive oil at the level of the individual producer, special attention should be paid to work on the olive cultivation register during the 1998/99 to 2000/01 marketing years; whereas, to take account of experience gained, the method used for other crops in the context of the Integrated Administration and Control System should also be applied for the olive cultivation register; whereas the Commission must therefore determine the measures to be taken and the arrangements and criteria to be complied with to achieve the creation of a Geographical Information System; whereas it is therefore necessary to derogate from Regulation (EEC) No 154/75 (10) and Regulation (EEC) No 2261/84 (11);
