(9 quater) Systeemrisico wordt door de internationale autoriteiten (IMF, RFS, BIB) gedefinieerd als „het risico op verstoring van de financiële dienstverlening dat (i) veroorzaakt wordt door een verzwakking van het gehele financiële stelsel of van delen daarvan en (ii) mogelijk ernstige gevolgen heeft voor de reële economie. Alle soorten financiële intermediairs, markten en structuren kunnen tot op zekere hoogte systeemkritische proporties aannemen”.
(9c) Systemic risk is defined by international authorities (IMF, FSB, BIS) as ‘a risk of disruption to financial services that is (i) caused by an impairment of all or parts of the financial system and (ii) has the potential to have serious negative consequences for the real economy All types of financial intermediaries, markets and infrastructure can potentially be systematically important to some degree’.
