Ik wil eindigen met de opmerking dat de afwijzing van het Commissievoorstel om de verordening te wijzigen nadat die in de Groep Financiële raden is besproken, zonder dat de groep voor ‘structurele maatregelen is geraadpleegd, tot de conclusie kan leiden dat de ministers van Financiën het in de praktijk niet eens waren. Deze conclusie stelt ons voor talloze problemen, juist in de huidige omstandigheden met zoveel problemen, en dat ook nog op lidstaatniveau.
I would like to conclude by saying that rejecting the Commission’s proposal to modify the Regulation after discussing it in the Working Group of the Financial Counsellors, without consulting the ‘Structure Action’ group, may lead to the conclusion that, in practical terms, the finance ministers were not in agreement. This conclusion creates numerous problems for us, especially in the current climate with so many problems and at Member State level too.
