Om het algemene bewustzijn van NTB's te verhogen en ondernemingen en overheden aan te moedigen deze te bestrijden, zou de Commissie eveneens informatie moeten vergaren bij de WTO, de OESO en andere relevante internationale handelsorganisaties over gedaan of huidig onderzoek naar het eventuele verband tussen NTB's en het hieruit voortvloeiende verlies aan potentieel marktaandeel enerzijds en mogelijk of feitelijk banenverlies anderzijds.
In order to increase both the general awareness about NTBs and motivate businesses and public authorities to fight against them, the Commission should also gather information from WTO, OECD, and any other relevant international trade organisation on work done or ongoing about a possible correlation between the existence of NTBs and resulting loss of potential market shares and the impact of this in terms of potential, or actual job losses.

15. doet een beroep op de Commissie en de lidstaten om de internationale samenwerking in het kader van internationale organisaties (Wereld Handelsorganisatie en de Wereld Douaneorganisatie) en met derde landen op douanegebied te versterken; wijst erop dat een en ander is gericht op een doeltreffendere douanecontrole en de bevordering van de EU-normen, waarbij de handel de EU en haar handelspartners ten goede kan komen; wijst er tevens op dat het aldus met name mogelijk wordt gezamenlijke operaties en proefprojecten uit te voeren om de samenwerking op het terrein tussen douanebeambten van de EU en van derde landen te versterken;
15. Calls on the Commission and the Member States to reinforce international cooperation in the framework of international organisations (World Trade Organisation and World Customs Organisation) and with third countries in the area of customs; points out that this is aimed at achieving more effective customs control and promoting EU standards, while allowing trade to benefit the EU and its trading partners; points out also that this will enable, in particular, joint operations and pilot projects to be set up to strengthen cooperation on the ground between EU and third-country customs officials;
