Dit besluit is in overeenstemming met de bestaande wetgeving van de Unie, met name de Richtlijnen 2002/19/EG, 2002/20/EG, 2002/21/EG en 1999/5/EG, alsmede Beschikking nr. 676/2002/EG, en ook met de maatregelen die op nationaal niveau worden genomen overeenkomstig het Unierecht en specifieke internationale overeenkomsten, met inachtneming van de ITU-radioreglementen.
3. This Decision is in accordance with existing Union law, in particular Directives 2002/19/EC, 2002/20/EC, 2002/21/EC and 1999/5/EC, as well as Decision No 676/2002/EC, and also with measures taken at national level in compliance with Union law and with specific international agreements, taking into account the ITU Radio Regulations;

This Decision is in accordance with existing Union law, in particular Directives 2002/19/EC, 2002/20/EC, 2002/21/EC and 1999/05/EC, as well as Decision No 67/2002/EC, and also with measures taken at national level, in compliance with Union law and with specific international agreements, taking into account the ITU Radio Regulations;

5. Bij het gebruik van Automatische Identificatiesystemen (AIS) geldt de Regionale Regeling betreffende de radiotelefoondienst op binnenwateren, die op 6 april 2000 in Basel is afgesloten in het kader van de radioreglementen van de Internationale Telecommunicatie-unie (ITU).
5. For the use of the automatic identification systems (AIS), the regional arrangement concerning the radiotelephone service on inland waterways concluded in Basel on 6 April 2000 in the framework of the radio regulations of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) shall apply.

5. Bij het gebruik van automatische identificatiesystemen is de regionale regeling betreffende de radiotelefoondienst op binnenwateren, die op 6 april 2000 in Basel is gesloten in het kader van de radioreglementen van de Internationale Telecommunicatie-unie (ITU) van toepassing .
5 . For the use of the Automatic Identification System (AIS), the Regional Arrangement concerning the radiotelephone service on inland waterways concluded in Basel on 6 April 2000 in the framework of the radio regulations to the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) shall apply .

6. De lidstaten stellen de VHF-kanalen voor automatische identificatiesystemen ter beschikking, zoals bepaald in de regionale regeling betreffende de radiotelefoondienst op binnenwateren, die op 6 april 2000 in Basel is gesloten in het kader van de radioreglementen van de Internationale Telecommunicatie-unie (ITU).

The Member States shall make available the VHF channels for the purposes of Automatic Identification Systems as determined in the Regional Arrangement concerning the radiotelephone service on inland waterways concluded in Basel on 6 April 2000 in the framework of the radio regulations of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

Belangrijke punten die op de WRC-97 aan bod komen en waarvoor de CPG standpunten heeft bepaald, zijn onder meer: de mobiele en de vaste satellietdienst; de vereenvoudiging van de ITU-radioreglementen; de regels die van toepassing zijn op de omroepdiensten; de wijziging van de frequentietoewijzingstabel om specifieke wetenschappelijke en maritieme diensten onder te brengen; en de discussie over de toewijzing van spectrum boven de 30ÊGhz voor toepassingen met hoge dichtheid.
Important items to be covered by WRC-97 and for which the CPG has prepared positions include: the mobile satellite and fixed satellite service; the simplification of ITU Radio Regulations; the rules applicable to broadcasting services; modification of the frequency allocation table to accomodate specific scientific and maritime services; and the discussion of allocation of spectrum above 30 Ghz for high-density applications.
