F. overwegende dat de voorstellen van de Russische president Dmitry Medvedev op 5 juni 2008 om te beraadslagen over de Europese veiligheid met het oog op een wettelijk bindend Europees Veiligheidsverdrag de aanzet waren voor het Korfoe-proces; dat de OVSE een belangrijk forum is om de voorstellen te bespreken,
F. whereas the origins of the Corfu Process lie in the proposal made by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on 5 June 2008 on the need to discuss the issue of European security with a view to drafting a legally binding European Security Treaty; whereas the OSCE is an important forum for discussing the proposal,

– gezien het interim-verslag van de fungerend voorzitter van de OVSE van 21 juni 2010 met de voorstellen van de landen die deelnemen aan het Korfoe-proces,
– having regard to the OSCE Chairman-in-Office's interim report summarising proposals put forward by the participating States within the Corfu Process of 21 June 2010,

VERWIJZEND naar de overeenkomst inzake partnerschap en samenwerking tussen de Europese Gemeenschappen en hun lidstaten, enerzijds, en de Russische Federatie, anderzijds, die op 24 juni 1994 te Korfoe is gesloten, en met name artikel 84 en de aan de slotakte gehechte gemeenschappelijke verklaring betreffende de artikelen 26, 32 en 37,
REFERRING to the Agreement on Partnership and Co-operation between the Community and its Member States, on the one part, and the Russian Federation, on the other part, concluded in Corfu on 24 June 1994, and in particular Article 84 and the joint declaration in relation to Articles 26, 32 and 37 in the Final Act thereof,

(2) De Europese Raad van Korfoe van 24 en 25 juni 1994 heeft de noodzaak benadrukt dat op het niveau van de Gemeenschap algemene, soepele rechtsregels tot stand worden gebracht ter bevordering van de ontwikkeling van de informatiemaatschappij in Europa.
