De Raad nam akte van het geringe inflatiepercentage dat Finland momenteel kent, van de totale steun van de Finse Regering voor de doelstelling van de Bank van Finland inzake inflatie en van de bijdrage tot de handhaving van een gering inflatiepercentage dat men mag verwachten van het recente nationale loonakkoord, dat loopt tot begin 1998.
The Council acknowledged the present low inflation rate in Finland, the full support of the Finnish Government for the inflation objective of the Bank of Finland and the contribution to keeping inflation low to be expected from the recent national wage agreement which extends to early 1998.
