De gedetailleerde lijst van de in het milieurapport mee te delen informatie is vastgesteld in bijlage IV. Het milieurapport bevat een niet-technische samenvatting van de verstrekte informatie.
The detailed list of information to be provided in the environmental report is specified in Annex IV. A non-technical summary of the information provided shall be included in the environmental report.

(g) „milieueffectbeoordeling”: het proces vanaf de opstelling van een milieurapport door de opdrachtgever, de organisatie van de raadplegingen (onder meer van het betrokken publiek en de milieu-instanties), de beoordeling door de bevoegde autoriteit en/of de in artikel 6, lid 1, genoemde autoriteiten , rekening houdend met het milieurapport – inclusief gegevens betreffende vervuiling door emissies – en de resultaten van de raadpleging in het kader van de vergunningsprocedure, tot en met de verstrekking van informatie over het besluit overeenkomstig de artikelen 5 tot en met 10;
(g) ‘environmental impact assessment’ shall mean the process of preparing an environmental report by the developer, carrying out the consultations (including with the public concerned and the environmental authorities), the assessment by the competent authority and/or by the authorities referred to in Article 6(1) , taking into account the environmental report , including data concerning pollution from emissions, and the results of the consultations in the development consent procedure as well as the provision of information on the decision in accordance with Articles 5 to 10;

(g) "environmental impact assessment" shall mean the process of preparing an environmental report by the developer, including the consideration of reasonable alternatives, carrying out the consultations (including with the public concerned and the environmental authorities), the assessment by the competent authority and/or by the authorities referred to in Article 6(1), taking into account the environmental report , including data concerning pollution from emissions, and the results of the consultations in the development consent procedure, laying down measures to monitor significant adverse environmental effects and mitigation and compensation measures as well as the provision of information on the decision in accordance with Articles 5 to 10.

(14) Wanneer krachtens deze richtlijn een beoordeling moet worden uitgevoerd dient een milieurapport te worden opgesteld dat de in deze richtlijn bepaalde relevante informatie omvat en waarin de te verwachten aanzienlijke milieueffecten van de uitvoering van het plan of programma worden bepaald, beschreven en beoordeeld, alsook redelijke alternatieven, rekening houdend met de doelstellingen en de geografische werkingssfeer van het plan of programma. De lidstaten dienen de Commissie mededeling te doen van de maatregelen die zij nemen met betrekking tot de kwaliteit van de milieurapporten.
(14) Where an assessment is required by this Directive, an environmental report should be prepared containing relevant information as set out in this Directive, identifying, describing and evaluating the likely significant environmental effects of implementing the plan or programme, and reasonable alternatives taking into account the objectives and the geographical scope of the plan or programme; Member States should communicate to the Commission any measures they take concerning the quality of environmental reports.

Wanneer krachtens artikel 3, lid 1, een milieubeoordeling vereist is, wordt een milieurapport opgesteld waarin de mogelijke aanzienlijke milieueffecten van de uitvoering van het plan of programma alsmede van redelijke alternatieven, die rekening houden met het doel en de geografische werkingssfeer van het plan of programma, worden bepaald, beschreven en beoordeeld.

Where an environmental assessment is required under Article 3(1), an environmental report shall be prepared in which the likely significant effects on the environment of implementing the plan or programme, and reasonable alternatives taking into account the objectives and the geographical scope of the plan or programme, are identified, described and evaluated.

(17) Zowel met het milieurapport en de mening van de relevante autoriteiten en het publiek, als met de resultaten van eventueel grensoverschrijdend overleg, dient rekening te worden gehouden bij de opstelling en vóór de vaststelling of onderwerping aan de wetgevingsprocedure van het plan of programma.
(17) The environmental report and the opinions expressed by the relevant authorities and the public, as well as the results of any transboundary consultation, should be taken into account during the preparation of the plan or programme and before its adoption or submission to the legislative procedure.
