This achievement included ‘core’ higher education goals such as curriculum development, development of comparable and compatible degrees organised in a three-cycle structure, quality assurance, recognition of foreign degrees, reform of higher education structures and establishments as well as development of skills profiles – although more so at the level of individual institutions than at the national policy level, where the duration and possibilities offered by SCMs and the inaccessibility of senior policy-level actors sometimes resulted in more indirect effects.

Bij de uitvoering van de in de punten a) tot en met e) bedoelde acties zal een nauwe verbinding tot stand worden gebracht met vergelijkbare acties van het Europees Centrum voor de ontwikkeling van de beroepsleiding (Cedefop) op het gebied van informatie inzake beroepsopleiding, het Bureau voor de statistiek van de Europese Gemeenschappen (Eurostat) op het gebied van de statistiek, het communautaire netwerk Naric (Nationale informatiecentra voor academische erkenning van diploma's) en elk ander nationaal, Europees en internationaal informatienetwerk op onderwijsgebied.
When the activities referred to in points (a) to (e) are being implemented, close links will be developed with comparable activities of the European Centre for the development of vocational training (Cedefop) in the field of information on vocational training, with the Statistical Office of the Community (Eurostat) in the field of statistics, with the Community Naric network (National Academic Recognition Information Centres) and with any other information network in the field of education at national, European and international level.
