– (PT) Als rapporteur voor advies van de Commissie landbouw en plattelandsontwikkeling wil ik graag onderstrepen hoe belangrijk het is dat bepaalde voorstellen uit ons advies, die niet zijn opgenomen in het verslag van mevrouw Kauppi, worden aangenomen. Ik verzoek u om deze voorstellen hier vandaag te steunen gezien het belang ervan voor miljoenen vrouwelijke boeren en plattelandsarbeiders. We moeten de activiteiten van deze vrouwen zichtbaarder maken door ze in de statistieken op te nemen als landbouwarbeiders, en niet als huisvrouwen.
– (PT) As draftsman for the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development, I would like to underline the importance of approving some of the proposals contained in our opinion which were not included in Mrs Kauppi’s report, and to request your support for approving them in this plenary in view of their importance for millions of women farmers and rural workers whose activities need to become more visible, through the inclusion of those women in statistics as agricultural, rather than domestic, workers.
