IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

Tot dusverre werd om de technische en functionele gedragsaspecten van op ICT-gebaseerde systemen te testen, gebruik gemaakt van demonstraties, maar deze tests waren vaak beperkt van aard en van schaal.
So far, demonstrations have been used to test the technical and functional behaviour of ICT based systems, but they have often been restricted and limited in scale.

101. is verheugd over de verbeteringen die sinds 2010 op IT-vlak zijn aangebracht, die hebben geleid tot: een grotere capaciteit om belangrijke aspecten 'in house' te kunnen doen, het proces van internalisering van activiteiten, de oprichting van belangrijke corporate governance-organen (comité voor de ict-innovatiestrategie en stuurgroep voor ict-innovatie), de instelling van de functie IT-planning, en het systeem voor rapportage over de status van projecten op het gebied van IT-ontwikkeling en de ontwikkeling van een transparante methodologie voor kortetermijnplanning; is verheugd over het feit dat dit DG op grote schaal gebruik maakt van prestatie-indicatoren; maakt zich zorgen over het groter wordende risico van illegale toegang tot en manipulatie van de ict-systemen van het Parlement, en is van oordeel dat op zo kort mogelijke termijn een doeltreffende langetermijnstrategie ter bescherming daarvan moet worden ontwikkeld; vraagt de secretaris-generaal blijvend te worden geïnformeerd over de maatregelen die met het oog hierop worden genomen;

Notes with satisfaction the improvements in the IT sector from 2010 onwards resulting in: greater capacity to manage key aspects "in house", the process of internalisation of activities, the establishment of key corporate governance organs (Committee on ICT Innovation Strategy and Steering Committee for ICT Innovation), the setting-up of the IT planning function and of the reporting system on the status of IT development projects and the development of a transparent short-term planning methodology; welcomes the extensive use of performance indicators by this DG; expresses its disquiet at the growing risk of illicit access to, and manipulation of, Parliament’s ICT systems and considers that, as a matter of the utmost urgency, an effective long-term strategy must be devised to protect them; asks the Secretary-General to keep it informed of the measures taken to that end;
