De onderwerpen van deze studies kunnen in drie categorieën worden ingedeeld: 1) kansarme jongeren en risicogedrag; 2) waarden, verwachtingen en identiteit van jongeren, met name ten opzichte van Europa (met inbegrip van de problematiek van jonge immigranten, racisme en vreemdelingenhaat); 3) niet-reguliere onderwijsmethoden.
The majority were comparative analyses, but some were case studies, covering three subject categories: 1) disadvantaged young people and risk behaviours; 2) values, expectations and identity of young people, particularly in relation to Europe (including the question of young immigrants, racism and xenophobia); 3) non-formal education methods.
