verzoekt zijn Voorzitter deze resolutie te doen toekomen aan de vicevoorzitter van de Commissie/hoge vertegenwoordiger van de Unie voor buitenlandse zaken en veiligheidsbeleid, de regeringen en parlementen van de lidstaten, de regering en de Nationale Assemblee van Vietnam, de regeringen en parlementen van de ASEAN-lidstaten, de Hoge Commissaris van de Verenigde Naties voor mensenrechten en de secretaris-generaal van de Verenigde Naties.
Instructs its President to forward this resolution to the Vice-President of the Commission/High Representative of the Union for Foreign affairs and Security Policy, the governments and parliaments of the Member States, the Government and National Assembly of Vietnam, the governments and parliaments of the ASEAN member states, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and the Secretary-General of the United Nations.

C. overwegende dat het Birmese regime, in plaats van gehoor te geven aan de oproep van de secretaris-generaal van Verenigde Naties om de gevangenen vrij te laten, op 10 juni juist nog eens 16 personen, slachtoffers van de cycloon Nargis, heeft gearresteerd op grond van de misdaad dat zij bij de bureaus van het Ontwikkelingsprogramma van de Verenigde Naties (UNDP) hebben aangeklopt voor humanitaire hulp,
C. whereas, far from heeding the call from the Secretary-General of the United Nations for the release of prisoners, on 10 June the Burmese regime actually arrested a further 16 individuals, victims of Cyclone Nargis, for the crime of presenting themselves at the offices of the United Nations Development Programme and asking for humanitarian assistance,

The original texts of this Agreement shall be deposited with the Government of the United States of America, which shall send certified copies thereof to the signatories and the Parties thereto, and to the Secretary-General of the United Nations for registration and publication, pursuant to Article 102 of the Charter of the United Nations.

Overeenkomstig artikel 102 van het Handvest van de Verenigde Naties wordt deze overeenkomst op verzoek van de secretaris-generaal van de Raad bij het secretariaat van de Verenigde Naties geregistreerd.
In accordance with Article 102 of the Charter of the United Nations, this Convention shall be registered with the Secretariat of the United Nations at the request of the Secretary-General of the Council.

2. De voorzitter van de Raad wordt gemachtigd de persoon of personen aan te wijzen die bevoegd is, respectievelijk zijn, om tegelijkertijd met de in lid 1 bedoelde kennisgeving de akte van goedkeuring bij de secretaris-generaal van de Verenigde Naties neder te leggen overeenkomstig artikel 24, lid 1, van het protocol, ten blijke van de instemming van de Gemeenschap met deze verbintenis.
2. The President of the Council is hereby authorised to designate the person or persons empowered to deposit, on the same date as the notification referred to in paragraph 1, the instrument of approval with the Secretary-General of the United Nations in accordance with Article 24(1) of the Protocol, in order to express the consent of the Community to be bound.
