Verscheidene internationale organisaties (gouvernementele en niet-gouvernementele, zoals de Raad van Europa, de Europese stichting voor wetenschappen, UNESCO, de Wereldgezondheidsorganisatie, de World Medical Association, de FAO en andere) werken actief aan de bevordering van de rol van de ethiek in wetenschap en onderzoek.

De Commissie bestudeert mogelijkheden om de zichtbaarheid van de wetenschap in alle multimediakanalen, inclusief de televisie, te bevorderen (Europees festival voor de wetenschappelijke publieksfilm, uitwisselingsmechanismen tussen audiovisuele productiestructuren, regionale kabeltelevisienetwerken, enz.). 22. verzoekt de Commissie en de lidstaten te bevorderen dat er een Europese Stichting voor het Filmerfgoed wordt opgericht met tot doel het opzetten van een filmerfgoednetwerk en het interesseren van de betrokkenen in deze kwestie (databanken, organisatie van internationale seminars ..), de opleiding in het ambacht van filmconservering en -restauratie, het valoriseren van films die model staan voor de Europese filmkunst, en tenslotte het uitbrengen van catalogi (thematische catalogi en verspreiding via tv-kanalen, DVD-verzamelingen van het Europees filmerfgoed, bewustmaking van het Europees filmerfgoed, vooral op school ..);

Calls on the Commission and the Member States to promote the setting-up of a European Cinematic Heritage Foundation whose purposes should in particular include organising a cinematic heritage network and establishing links between those concerned by this (setting-up of databases, organisation of seminars of international standing, etc.), training in the professional skills of film conservation and restoration, promotion of key European films and circulation of catalogues (compilation of thematic catalogues and broadcasting on television channels, creation of DVD collections of films which form part of the European heritage, cultivating awareness of the European cinematic heritage, particularly at schools, etc.);
