TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

Om de analyse van deze sectoren door de Commissie voor te bereiden, werd afgelopen december bij het Directoraat-generaal Energie en Vervoer een task-force ingesteld voor een "analyse van de risico's op het gebied van energie en vervoer".
In order to prepare the analysis of the Commission in these sectors, a Task Force to analyse risks in the fields of energy and transport was set up by the Directorate-General for Energy and Transport last December.

De taak van deze task-force bestaat er voornamelijk in na te gaan wat de risico's zijn en wat de mate van de kwetsbaarheid is van de infrastructuren van energie en vervoer in de landen van de EU, de kandidaat-landen en buurlanden.
Its mission is mainly to identify the sources of risks and the degree of vulnerability of energy and transport infrastructure in the EU, the candidate countries and neighbouring countries.

Zoals uit de voorbeelden in de bijlage blijkt, moeten veel projecten daarnaast een belangrijke bijdrage leveren tot de werkzaamheden van de "task forces" die door Edith CRESSON en Martín BANGEMANN (als Lid van de Commissie belast met industrie, telecommunicatie en informatietechnologie) zijn opgezet en een stimulans moeten vormen voor het onderzoek en de industriële ontwikkeling in Europa op het gebied van zes onderwerpen van de toekomst: de auto van morgen, educatieve multimediasoftware, de nieuwe generatie vliegtuigen, vaccins en virusziekten, de trein van de toekomst en intermodaal vervoer.
Many of these projects, as shown in the examples below, should also contribute to the work of the task forces created by Edith CRESSON and Martin BANGEMANN (commissioner responsible for industry, telecommunications and information technologies) aiming at stimulating research on six fundamental areas for the future : the car of tomorrow, the eduicational software, the new generation aircraft, vaccines and viral diseases, the train of the future and intermodality in transport.
