Er zij aan herinnerd dat een studie door het Wetenschappelijk Comité voor de toxiciteit, de ecotoxiciteit en het milieu in november 1998 tot de slotsom is gekomen dat er potentiële, onaanvaardbare gevaren voor het milieu verbonden zijn aan de levenscyclus van gechloreerde paraffines met een korte keten (SCCP) en dat er voor het aquatisch milieu specifieke beschermende maatregelen moeten worden genomen.
It is recalled, that a study by the Scientific Committee on Toxicity, Ecotoxicity and the Environment (CSTEE) concluded in November 1998 that there are potential unacceptable environmental risks associated with the life cycle of Short Chain Clorinated Paraffins (SCCP) and that there is a need for specific protective measures for the aquatic ecosystem.
