12. verzoekt de verantwoordelijke instanties in de lidstaten alsmede de Commissie beter toe te zien op de duurzaamheid van medegefinancierde maatregelen, zoals bepaald in Verordening (EG) nr. 1083/2006 van de Raad van 11 juli 2006 houdende algemene bepalingen inzake het Europees Fonds voor Regionale Ontwikkeling, het Europees Sociaal Fonds en het Cohesiefonds; dringt er bij de verantwoordelijke instanties op aan erop toe te zien dat gelden uit de structuurfondsen voor langetermijnprojecten worden gebruikt, en financiering alleen te verstrekken als de duurzaamheid van de maatregelen is verzekerd, zoals bepaald in artikel 57 van die verordening; roept de verantwoordelijke instanties op door geschikte sanctiemechanismen een einde te maken aan "subsidiehopping";

Calls on the responsible authorities in the Member States and the Commission to pay greater attention to the sustainability of jointly financed measures, as provided for in Council Regulation (EC) No 1083/2006 of 11 July 2006 laying down general provisions on the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund and the Cohesion Fund; urges the responsible authorities to ensure that resources from the Structural Funds remain committed in the long term and that funding is only provided after ensuring the durability of operations, as stipulated in Article 57 of that regulation; calls on the responsible authorities to prevent 'subsidy shopping' by establishing adequate penalty mechanisms;
