Hiertoe ondersteunt de EU de werkzaamheden en de dialoog met de Ontmoeting Azië-Europa (ASEM), de Stichting Azië-Europa (ASEF), het project Trans-Eurasia Information Network (TEIN), de Zuid-Aziatische associatie voor regionale samenwerking (ASACR), de vrijhandelszone van Zuid-Azië (AFTA) en de Associatie van Zuid-Oost-Aziatische staten (ASEAN).
To achieve this, the EU supports work and dialogue with the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM), the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF), the Trans-Eurasia Information Network (TEIN), the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), the South Asian Free Trade Area (SAFTA) and the Association of South-East Asian Nations (ASEAN).

More generally, the continued proliferation of ballistic missiles capable of delivering WMD constitutes a cause of growing concern for the international community, in particular ongoing missiles programmes in the Middle-East, North-East Asia and South-East Asia, including Iran, Syria and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (‘DPRK’).

Gelet op de bereikte resultaten en de gestage verspreiding van ballistische raketten waarmee MVW kunnen worden overgebracht — vooral de lopende rakettenprogramma's in het Midden-Oosten, Noord-Oost-Azië, en Zuid-Oost-Azië, onder meer in Iran en de VRK — die in de internationale gemeenschap tot groeiende bezorgdheid leidt, zullen de volgende acties worden ondernomen:
