5. In het kader van deze Overeenkomst omvat intellectuele eigendom met name auteursrecht, inclusief het auteursrecht op computerprogramma's, en naburige rechten, inclusief artistieke ontwerpen, en industriële eigendom mede omvattende gebruiksmodellen, octrooien, inclusief octrooien voor biotechnologische uitvindingen en plantenrassen of andere doeltreffende afzonderlijke stelsels, industriële ontwerpen, geografische aanduidingen, inclusief benamingen van oorsprong, handelsmerken voor goederen of diensten, topografieën van geïntegreerde schakelingen alsmede de wettelijke bescherming van databanken en de bescherming tegen oneerlijke concurrentie, zoals bedoeld in artikel 10 bis van het Verdrag van Parijs tot bescherming van de industriële eigendom en van niet-openbaar gemaakte informatie over knowhow.

For the purpose of this Agreement, intellectual property includes in particular copyright, including the copyright on computer programmes, and neighbouring rights, including artistic designs, and industrial property which includes utility models, patents including patents for bio-technological inventions and plant varieties or other effective sui generis systems, industrial designs, geographical indications including appellations of origin, trademarks for goods or services, topographies of integrated circuits as well as the legal protection of data bases and the protection against unfair competition as referred to in Article 10a of the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property and protection of undisclosed confidential information on know how.
