— d'appliquer et d'encourager les initiatives, les politiques et les programmes et de surveiller leur mise en œuvre, si nécessaire, conformément à la résolution 1325 sur les femmes, la paix et la sécurité adoptée par le Conseil de sécurité des Nations unies en 2000 ainsi que la déclaration du Conseil de l'Europe, le programme d'action et la résolution sur la démocratisation, la prévention des conflits et la paix, afin de promouvoir le rôle des femmes et des hommes dans la prévention et la règlement des conflits, la construction de la paix et les processus démocratiques post-conflictuels; et ceci notamment en concrétisant pleinement les droits fondamentaux de la femme et le règlement pacifique des conflits, la participation équilibrée des femmes et des hommes à la prise de décision, la promotion de l'égalité entre les femmes et les hommes et l'intégration de la dimension du genre, la lutte contre la violence fondée sur le sexe visant les populations civiles, en particulier les femmes et les filles;

Calls on the Council to make every effort to convene an international peace conference — along the lines of the 1991 Madrid Conference — in order to find a comprehensive, lasting and viable solution based on the relevant UN Security Council resolutions and the relevant United Nations reports, and in particular the one by the Special Rapporteur in the Occupied Territories, that involves all the stakeholders in the region;
16. invite le Conseil à tout mettre en œuvre pour organiser une conférence de paix internationale — à l'instar de la conférence de Madrid de 1991 — à l'effet de dégager, sur la base des résolutions pertinentes du Conseil de sécurité des Nations unies et des rapports pertinents des Nations unies, en particulier du rapporteur spécial dans les territoires occupés, une solution globale durable et viable qui associe tous les acteurs de la région;

− I voted in favour of this resolution because it supports Council's proposal for a directive which provides clear measures concerning the prevention of crime and victim protection in particular.

the on-going work of the OECD, the Council of Europe and other international fora in combating corruption is strongly supported, the OECD work related to the use of off-shore accounts, and problems linked with the funding of political parties was particularly noted.
